My create Britain profile

 What is Create Britain? -

Create Britain is a independent website allowing students and all to organize there work in how they see fit, Create Britain offers different layouts and formats to allow any digital creator to present and show there work of in a unique but professional manner. Create Britain is a site for people who have created content whether that's art, media, music, acting, filming Create Britain is a site for all to express and publicize there work and passions.

Why am I using Create Britain? -

Building a brand within media can be hard and is without the use of social media. Create Britain is a fantastic site for any media student who wants to digitalize and show there content and as a media content creator I am using create Britain to create and build my work into a digital portfolio for myself and my digital brand. Create Britain is a key to building a brand for me and putting my work out there in a neat organized format.

This is the first thing you see when you view my create Britain profile in this I decided to have the business card front/logo on the backdrop of the logo because its important to link it between my area's of work within each other I also created a title/slogan 'content creator/media enthusiast these are the two i picked because I am a content creator and a massive media enthusiast. I also decided to add a couple of links to my other social media networks I have linked my YouTube because the majority of my content gets uploaded on there. I also linked my Instagram where I will be posting photography and media like content. As well as my blogger where my work has been uploaded and documented in great detail so its key that its on my create Britain profile. My Spotify is also on there for personalization and effect. My twitch is on there as well because of gaming and online content I also create i want to show off. My letterboxed account is linked where I review movies and other film movies that i get inspired by. Lastly my tik tok account is linked because its where I'm going to be doing most of edits from movies/tv shows and more I think its important to link my social media sites within my portfolio.

This is where I've highlighted some of my features work including some of my media savvy photography and I've highlighted an episode of my podcast talking about mental health and how people could improve. As well as my documentary about gaming and how's its changed over the years from a hobby to a full time job. In this section as well listed a short paragraph about me and what I love as a creator/person I said I love to grow as a content creator and always want to expand on my skills as well as I'm a massive fan of film, gaming, photography and more.

This is my creative disciplines sections where i have listed my skills and progress into areas such as illustration and drawing, music and film/tv production in these areas I have talked about skills i have learned from college, school and more In this wheel I show of and share my areas of skills and what I think I'm better at and what I can continue to improve on through media. By creating this wheel its show anyone interested in my work what I'm capable of and how my specific areas of expertise listen in the wheel can be a benefit to them.

These are 8 sections where I went in to detail about where i think I fit in to these areas of work and skill I think I have chose the right 8 options tailored to me because of each of these skills I have grown up and vastly improved each over the years. Games is something important and is a big factor why I even went into the media industry game expanded my research and love for films and media as a whole so its key part of my creative wheel. Storyboard is something quite fresh for me but i am each time improving on techniques and writing throughout each time I make a project that helms or needs storyboarding. Technical skills has greatly improved and I'm still learning new things each day my technical skills have jumped from hobby to a professional standard whether that may be in editing or camera techniques my technical side has improved for the better. Posts is something I have been exploring recently because of the art since there are linked with film and I have learned simplicity and new ideas every time I create a poster which links with my media projects overall as well. Films is somethings that made me want to step into the world of media creating films, being apart of films, making or watching is something to be in awe of. Its a true art form and is something I would love to tap into in the future professionally. Drawing comes hand in hand with posters and art. Art is something I've tapped into across my youth expanding on skills and formats because I think personally its a step up to not only create media projects digitally but also link it with drawing its makes my overall projects feel more direct and personal since there is so much work and passion being put into them.

In these next sections this is all about music now traditionally in create Britain profiles it can be about one subject/ area of expertise but for me personally I want all areas to be highlighted and the great thing is these all link in each other music and drawing goes hand in hand within film creating a film gives me opportunities to have all the areas created by me and makes the potential overall project even better because of that. Podcasting is something I have recently tapped into for a more conventional way of displaying myself in a digital format I love the idea of podcasting and dedicated the idea around the whole session its such a neat idea that I think could benefit my career in multiples way's. Producer role is something that comes quite easy for me as a student I have produced and made all me own content that I have made and will continue to make but also co - producing and helming other projects my other media friends have made so I feel like producing is something I'm quite good at and established at. Recording again comes in hand in hand within anything I do with content creation whether that may be recording clips for a film or recording a podcast or recording music samples. Recording plays a massive part in my brand and whole media based content. Lastly streaming is something new but also crucial to me for streaming movies and streaming shows to create and be inspired by these amazing projects that I want to eventually create but also streaming myself whether that may be live streams in gaming or film sets or day to day life I think overall its a crucial skill for me to own as a ongoing media content creator.

The third and final section is my main media central tab. Tv and film is split into 3 different sections that i think suit me and crucial to media for me. Camera operator is something I have been doing for a while professionally and a hobbyist style I have held and operated very expensive film cameras for my work experience job but also operated A class but smaller and affordable film cameras more so for student helmed projects that I take part in. A camera operator is something that is important for me as a media student without knowing the right way or safe to helm a camera can mean the difference between a terrible film a good quality one. Director (assistant) this is something I'm partial to I feel being a director has a lot of responsibility's and being a assistant gives me the skills and talent to learn how it actually is but also being a key part of making films no matter the size of each one. Production comes hand in hand with every project I have ever done production is something that is vastly important to my process into creating films production has learnt me time management skills, leadership, communication skills and more productions has launched me into a professional standard across all my content creation. 

Last tab i want to show is my location i added the location to show and let people know I'm local and based in Sunderland. This shows any consumer that views my content gives them the better idea of my location/work place. I didn't include all of my personal details because this is a website that does not need all my personal information. Its main point is to highlight my work in a professional but unique manner

After this i decided to get some feedback from peers and selected friends to see what they think of my create Britain account and see what they like and what they think i could add I wanted to make sure that my page is easy to understand and navigate across each sections so getting feedback will help me make it the best portfolio it can be.

Google Forms Feedback -

The feedback was assessed and people answered my question about navigating was easy and understandable across my page which is great to hear because it means I don't need to change my page in terms of position and content. As for what people suggested some said it was perfect but some also said add another section in the green tab which is film, tv and production i also agree with this I think adding another section in editing would fit nicely into the overall create Britain profile.

I added the section within the tv, film and production and talked about my editing experience as a whole within media this also since I added another section to the film production tab it has changed color but overall that doesn't affect the navigation aspect or overall look its still fits and works a digital portfolio.

Final evaluation - 

Overall I think my create Britain profile is a success showing my content and work over the years and will continue to be used for mainstream and content creation to show and build my brand in the future. It works for the work I'm producing and shows it off in a official professional manner.
